Housed in a 15th century Venetian palazzo, AMA Collection is the first of several monographs to document this private collection. The project coincided with Italy’s first Covid lockdown, we took the opportunity to record the deserted city and commissioned a local photographer to capture it. Printed on paper made from the algae dredged from the Venice canal the photographic essay became a separate volume bound into the inside cover. The main volume, which explores the extensive contemporary art collection is housed in a slipcase and uses a 3 score Swiss binding to hold the book block in place.
